Position Available:       International Sales Coordinator-Latin America

Department:                 International Sales - Concrete Products

This entry level position will also manage certain projects; follow up on quotations and orders; perform various marketing tasks.  The International Sales Coordinator will be the main point of contact with Sales Representatives and Customers for conventional day-to-day communications and activities.  Position is designed to train and prepare coordinator for eventual International Sales role within the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, review, and qualify all requests for quotes for major equipment
  • Coordinate with appropriate departments to develop technical solutions and convey these to the Sales Representative and Customers
  • Follow up on quotes with the Sales Representatives and Customers advising them of delivery times
  • Ensures shipments are complete and on time
  • Conduct industry and market research which can help both Columbia and clients in their goals
  • Level One (1) and Level Two (2) Project Management
  • Follow up with warranty issues and ensure they are taken care of in a timely manner
  • Monitor the status of orders and follow up on any problem areas; attend Production Meetings
  • Monitor quotes that are sent to Sales Representatives and Customers and report status back to International Sales Director
  • Assist International Sales Director in conducting relevant marketing research and developing/implementing market strategies
  • Maximizes the efficiency of the department
  • Maximizes the probability of success within each phase of projects

Skills:

  • Fluent in Spanish including; reading, writing and speaking

Position Available:       Electrical Engineer

Department:                 Electrical Engineering:  Turmac

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Bills of Material for electrical panels and machine components.
  • Design, check and modify electrical schematics, panel layouts, device layout and cable/installation layouts.
  • Check, modify, and create new program PLC programs.
  • Spec out hardware.
  • Check and modify Operator Interface programs.
  • Start-up and test run equipment on the assembly floor and occasionally in the field.
  • Participate in Value Analysis (VA) sessions.
  • Write and modify technical manuals.
  • Regularly interface with the engineering team to share technical expertise.
  • Train customers and service representatives (some travel required).

Skills:

  • Knowledge of concrete product machinery and controls desired.
  • Experience with programming PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, and motor controls.
  • Experience with Panelview, Panelview +  and Panelmate software preferred.
  • Understands UL, CSA, CE, NEC, NFPA and related codes and their regulation requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer focused approach to engineering.
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply the latest technologies.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects to meet production schedule requirements.
  • Ability to resolve problems and follow through with all concerned parties.

Education:

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineer is preferred.  Equivalent training and experience will be considered.
  • 4-7 years experience in design and implementation of industrial controls.

Position Available:       Field Service Representative-Concrete Products    

Department:                  Customer Service Department - CP        

Responsibilities:

  • Support field sales reps with customer courtesy calls, small installations, and troubleshooting/repairs of customer equipment. 
  • Assist installers and field service engineers with installation and commissioning of major equipment and plant packages
  • Provide support of installed equipment
  • Provide daily reports to Service Manager
  • Represent Columbia in a professional manner

Skills:

  • Working knowledge of PLC and Relay controls
  • Working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Motor controls and starters
  • Welding, rigging, and general mechanical ability
  • Able to train our customers to operate and maintain our equipment
  • Block making experience
  • Ability to troubleshoot (electrically and mechanically) all Columbia equipment
